The company first established itself in the Energy industry as an
expert in Prepayment Customer Account Management systems, writing
software systems for the major established energy suppliers in the
UK.
Following the development of several vertical market software
applications, in 2001 the company altered its strategy and started
to sell its specialised programming services into the SME market. It
invested heavily into this market and became a Pegasus software
dealer in 2005 (Pegasus is the market leader in mid-market
accounting software in the UK).
In January 2006, Lerryn bought the well established Pegasus reseller
Wade Computing Services Limited of Stockport. This acquisition
enabled Lerryn to extend their comprehensive software development
and support skills into a broader accounting software arena. Staff
from Wade were employed by Lerryn and continue to develop the
business with even greater resources at their disposal.
In January 2006, Lerryn also acquired the Pegasus customer base of
Complete Computer Services Limited in Cheadle Heath. A number of
Pegasus customers were thus transferred.
With an appetite for growth through acquisition, in June 2006 Lerryn
bought out another Pegasus dealer in Staffordshire called DTOS
Limited and again, secured the services of the existing staff.
August 2006 saw another strategic acquisition for Lerryn in the form
of Professional Systems Design Limited in Doncaster. PSD had
previously been a Pegasus reseller for 20 years and again, brought
experienced staff and an established customer base.
In November 2006, Lerryn purchased the Pegasus customer base of
Peach Data Services plc, who were another reseller in Staffordshire.
This acquisition again helped further strengthen the company’s
position in the mid market accounting and bespoke software
development marketplace.
The company continues to grow from strength to strength. With its
unique blend of programming and development expertise, together with
decades of experience in the UK accounting mid market, the company
is expanding its installed customer base throughout the North, North
West and Midlands areas. Further expansion is planned through
additional strategic acquisitions and through organic growth. |
